2. Nature of the service
UK Energy Report is an independent advertising and lead-matching service. We do not install solar panels ourselves and we are not affiliated with any specific energy supplier. When you complete the eligibility quiz, we forward your enquiry to one or more MCS-certified installation companies in our partner network, who will contact you with a free, no-obligation quote.
Any contract for the supply or installation of solar panels is between you and the installer you choose. We are not party to that contract and we do not earn a commission on installations completed.
3. Eligibility
You must be:
- aged 18 or over;
- a UK resident;
- the homeowner of the property for which you are requesting a quote, or have the homeowner's authority to request a quote on their behalf.
4. Information you provide
You agree that the information you provide in the quiz (including property type, postcode, contact details and current energy use) is true, accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. We rely on this information to match you with a suitable installer. Submitting deliberately false information may result in your enquiry being declined.
5. Editorial content
Articles on this website (including the article you arrived at this page from) are sponsored advertorial content produced to promote our quote-matching service. They include factual statistics referenced from public sources (Ofgem, MCS Service Co., UK government publications) but should not be treated as independent journalism or financial advice. Savings figures are indicative and depend on individual property characteristics, location, energy use and the installer's specific quote.
Testimonials shown are illustrative of typical feedback collected through MCS-certified installer networks. Names have been reduced to initials and locations are towns, not full addresses, to protect the privacy of the homeowners who provided them.

All content on this site (text, images, code, the UK Energy Report logo and branding) is owned by Local Rebate or used under licence and is protected by UK copyright. You may not reproduce, redistribute or scrape it without our written permission.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- we provide the website "as is" and make no warranty about uninterrupted availability;
- we are not liable for the conduct, quotes, workmanship or contracts of any third-party installer;
- we are not liable for indirect, consequential or loss-of-profit damages.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by UK law.
